Meg Dillingham
Health & Counseling
Meg Dillingham has a Bachelor’s degree in both Psychology and Nursing. Meg attended the
University of Massachusetts Accelerated Second Bachelor’s program in Springfield,
Massachusetts. She graduated in 2018 and started her first nursing job at Baystate Franklin
Medical Center working on the Medical/Surgical/Telemetry unit. Working the night shift through
COVID presented lots of challenges and Meg always had an interest in school nursing. Meg
hoped the skills she gleaned in the clinical setting would translate well to caring for school age
children. Prior to nursing, Meg worked as a behavioral interventionist at the Kindle Farm school.
It was there that she got her first glimpse of alternative practices in the world of behavior
analysis. Meg has always had a love for the outdoors and finds that time spent outside is both
healing and inspiring. Her passion for education and helping youth coupled with her love of
nursing seemed to be the ideal fit for school nursing.
What Meg loves about being a school nurse at Academy is the ability to be a caring figure in the
students’ school day. Meg also loves getting the opportunity to educate students on how to care
for their bodies and promote health and wellness–be it oral hygiene, puberty education, or
nutritional education. Meg believes that health education is paramount to the role of a school
nurse.
Meg lives in Brattleboro with her husband, Josh and their 2 young kids. She enjoys hiking,
running, environmental conservation and playing with her children.
