Sharon Johnson has worked at Academy School at every grade level as a teacher of the deaf and special educator. Sharon uses multi-sensory learning activities to help children succeed. She loves building on her students' strengths and seeing them happy and proud of their accomplishments. Sharon earned a masters degree in Deaf Education at Canisius College in Buffalo NY, and attended Castleton College for her Special Education certification. She began her career at the former Austine School for the Deaf in Brattleboro, VT. where she worked for 22 years. Sharon enjoys cross country skiing, lake swimming, reading, and hiking in gorgeous New England .
